It was expert hunting today, and by "chase," I'm referring to my trip to HomeGoods, where I went hunting for farmhouse decor for my function…even though I didn't actually detect anything farmhouse-related that I liked.
It was however a productive hunt, though! — and I mean "hunt" in the truest sense of the word, because allow's get existent, HomeGoods is like The Hunger Games of dwelling decorating stores. If you come across something you want, you better chase that downward like a lioness chases downwards her prey.
But ya know, it was Caturday, and even though I was wearing sweats and a messy bun, I still wanted to wear ruby-red lips for #14DaysofRavishingRed.
An opaque lipstick seemed similar a footling too much for today, then I went with one of my favorite casual ways to wear cherry instead — by layering a red gloss on peak of a nude lipstick.
The deep, absurd-toned cherry ruddy gloss I'thousand wearing borders on magenta. It's Neutrogena Hydro Heave Lip Shine in Deep Cherry, and when it's layered on superlative of a creamy nude brown (NUDESTIX Mystic), the brown tones down the intensity of the red, and so that yous end up with a casual sleeky dark-brown lip with a hint of red.
Of course, y'all can do this with whatsoever ruby-red gloss — doesn't have to exist a absurd-toned crimson ruddy similar this.
This version of a red lip is suuuper laid back, so I similar to wear it with insufficiently chill makeup. I'm non really wearing a lot here at all, but articulate brow gel, mascara, a sheer face tint, under-middle concealer and foam blush.
If y'all've never rocked a ruby lip before, merely you want to — you're but a fiddling nervous to effort — this is one fashion to take 'em for a test drive.

P.S. I ended upwards getting three denim and paisley Pottery Barn-esque Ralph Lauren throw pillows for the couch. Not farmhouse, but they're beautiful. 🙂 I'll bear witness you some pics soon.
